Description

Molten Type is an interactive typography study driven by WebGPU compute shaders and a dense field of metal particles.

Metal Body: The wordmark is reconstructed from a cohesive particle mass. Each metal particle stores position, velocity, heat, and deformation memory so the form melts, sags, and recovers with visible inertia instead of snapping.

Heat Interaction: Mouse movement injects force and temperature into the surface. This creates localized softening, flow, and re-solidification while preserving overall letter readability.

Sparks: A second particle system handles hot debris with gravity, drag, and floor settling to give the interaction a torch-like mechanical response.

Controls: Use the lab to tune typography, render mode, particle density, metal scale, and interaction falloff while balancing realism against performance.
