Hi! I'm Vlad.
Welcome to my site! I'm Vladyslav Penev – a software engineer at heart who loves figuring out how things work. Currently, I'm the Lead Developer at Fiddle.Digital, the developer behind the StringTune library, and a member of the Palemiya community. This is where I share some projects, thoughts on development, and things that excite me.
The Engineering Drive
Ever since my first steps in programming, what interested me most wasn't just "making it work," but "making it work well". A love for calculations, optimization, and solving complex problems—that's what drives me. I enjoy dissecting systems, finding bottlenecks, and searching for elegant, efficient solutions.
I value high-quality, well-thought-out code. Perhaps that's why StringTune came about—as an attempt to create an optimized and convenient tool for web animations and interactions that wouldn't require complex setups for basic tasks. It's a search for balance between functionality and ease of use.
My primary expertise lies in Frontend development, including modern JavaScript/TypeScript, frameworks like Nuxt 3, and working with rendering and animations (including 3D/Three.js).
Beyond the Code
Although development takes up a significant part of my time, my interests aren't limited to just that. I enjoy the process of creation and structuring itself—whether it's software architecture or exploring new ideas in other fields. Finding logic and building systems is what fascinates me in various forms.
Approach to Work
I believe a good engineering approach involves continuous learning and improvement. I strive to create reliable, performant solutions, paying attention to detail. Whether it's optimizing an algorithm or choosing the right architecture – quality results are important to me.
